ART THEFT AND COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED IN THIS CLUB.

You probably all know by now that art theft and copyright infringement is something that I feel very passionate about.

Art theft and copyright infringement includes manipulating someone else's photograph or image without asking first.

So no, you don't manipulate their image and then ask them if they like it. You do the right thing and ask permission first.

The Portrait Club has a one-strike policy regarding Art Theft and Copyright Infringement. You do it once, and you're out.

This includes:

- images that you submit to the Club;

- images that you do not submit to the Club but are still uploaded to your Gallery.

-Please note this also includes Avatars.

If your avatar contains an image that you do not have permission from the copyright holder to use [i.e. a photograph of a famous person that you did not take yourself] you will be politely asked to change your avatar. If you decide to decline your membership to this Club will be withdrawn.

Yes I am getting tough. Just because no one else seems to care doesn't make it right.

STAMP OUT ART THEFT WHEREVER YOU FIND IT!

This is an issue I am very passionate about, and I urge you to report art theft wherever you find it, be is on DA, or any other online or off-line place.

Unfortunately art theft happens so often that we sometimes feel powerless to do anything about it. But you can help.

If you see anyone abusing copyright, be it here, or even for a social club newsletter at work, speak up! Support a zero-tolerance for art theft in all forms!
