Submission Guideliness: [link]

I really enjoy receiving Club submissions and really look forward to them. Unfortunately a growing number of them don't meet the Club Submission Guidelines [below].

In the past I have replied to each one, letting the artist know that their image has not been accepted. As of today I won't be doing this anymore; it takes up far too much time. If you image doesn't appear in the weekly submission before you jump in and send me a note asking why, stop and think. Did you meet all the guidelines? Did you send submitted it as a thumbnail?

If after reviewing your image and guidelines you still don't understand why it was not included, then send me a note with the subject: "Submission Query" and include in the note a thumbnail of the image you are asking about. Only notes in this format will be answered.

I spend a lot of time and energy running this club. Help me to promote your work by doing the right thing.

And to the majority of members who consider the guidelines when submitting their images, your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.

What kind of images can I submit?

This criteria are for the purposes of Club submission only.

1. All subjects must be human.

2. The subject must be the main focus of the image.

3. The image must show at least half the face and at least one eye. The eye may be open or closed.

4. The face most be in focus. Soft focus is fine; a blurred face will not be considered a portrait.

5. Submissions may be photographs, drawings or digital art.

6. Images that have been retouched are fine; however photographic manipulations will be declined as there are many other wonderful clubs more suited for this art genre.

7. Artistic nudity will be accept at the sole discretion of the administrator.

8. No gore, violence or ideologically sensitive images please.

Images that do not fit this criteria will not be accepted.

Members may only submit images that their own copyright to, or have permission to use [for example a model who is in the photograph may have permission from the photographer to post on DA].

STAMP OUT ART THEFT WHEREVER YOU FIND IT!

This is an issue I am very passionate about, and I urge you to report art theft wherever you find it, be is on DA, or any other online or off-line place.

Unfortunately art theft happens so often that we sometimes feel powerless to do anything about it. But you can help.

If you see anyone abusing copyright, be it here, or even for a social club newsletter at work, speak up! Support a zero-tolerance for art theft in all forms!
