I'm very pleased to present the first installment in the Portrait Club's Mini Features.

I'm Amanda and photography is really just a hobby for me. This is one of my favorite photos because it captures the moment so well. To me, especially considering she (my daughter) is turning 9 this year it also captures the fleeing nature and innocence of childhood.

I'm Jean, Jeannie if yer nasty. I'm a photographer from Long Island, New York (say it: Lawn Guyland, New Yawk) who is usually her own worst enemy. That being said, this is probably my favorite recent image that I have shot. The model, Jenelle, was amazing to work with, and she just nailed ever pose perfectly. Together we created an image that I look at time and time again and think, Did I really do that? I cannot wait to work with Jenelle again, but for now this is a testament to our superb team-work.

I'm not used to talking about myself, but I'll try. I am a teenage girl from Romania who is in love with photography, both analogue and digital. I usually do portraits because I love human nature and everything that relates to it. I chose this image because I feel 'black and white' at the moment and also because it represents the innocence and sensuality that can hide in a girl's body.

Hello! I am a young traditional artist from the United States who loves to work with a variety of mediums in many genres. Most of my artwork comes from portraits or fantasy. This piece has recently been one of my favorites because it has proven to me that I have improved in charcoal drawings since I first started at the beginning of this year and also conveys a personal emotional story.

This is an issue I am very passionate about, and I urge you to report art theft wherever you find it, be is on DA, or any other online or off-line place.

Unfortunately art theft happens so often that we sometimes feel powerless to do anything about it. But you can help.

If you see anyone abusing copyright, be it here, or even for a social club newsletter at work, speak up! Support a zero-tolerance for art theft in all forms!
